Risking Words - Writing Classes

Nurture your writing in a community of women who write.

Are you new to the possibility of ClarityWork's classes?

Read on and discover what makes our classes unique, supportive and dynamic. Read what other participants have to say about the power of writing in our community. You will find many surprises in these weekly classes. The most profound one is the experience of feeling safe to take risks in a group. Other surprises?  Being nurtured by the diversity of stories and writing styles each member brings and having the depth and meaning of your own writing astound you. What you will NOT find in this circle is critique, judgment, or advice. This is a circle of support for your fearless writing, that which arises from you fresh, raw, unedited, and in it's purest state of creation.

Are you a past participant?

Is it time to energize your solitary journey by writing in community? Is it time to deepen your commitment to a weekly practice and generate new material in the circle? Renewal, inspiration, support await you.

Description

Class Writing

Risking Words is a weekly,  2 1/2 hour class for both emerging and accomplished writers. (Current class schedules are shown below). You will use Centered Writing Practice™ to write to prompts, read, listen to others, and respond to what has been read. Bring your notebook and the willingness to let go of previous definitions of “writing” and of yourself as a “writer.”

Continuing students receive priority by registering early and paying in advance.  New students are welcomed! Once registered, you will be advised of available space.

Class-Circle Time

When women gather in a circle with the intent to support one another in taking personal risks, the circle is sacred space.
