Seabrook Fearless Writing Retreat
4th Annual Fearless Writing Retreat at Seabrook Island, South Carolina
Sunday, March 2, 4:00pm — Sunday, March 9, 10:00am
Early Bird Registration Deadline: December 15
Final Payment Due: February 1
Seabrook Island is 30 miles south of Charleston, SC.
Description
What is bliss if not 7 days on the beach to write? Think of mornings
writing in group with the meeting room doors open onto the deck. An osprey settles in the palmetto outside your window. At tide's turn, you trek down the beach to watch the dolphins play and sit a while to write the afternoon away. Later you might nap in your private room, or take a bike ride around the island. On Wednesday you may head for Charleston, journal in hand. Peggy provides an atmosphere of support and individual attention; she also participates in group writes and is readily available. With afternoons to write on your own, you are sure to take home a full notebook and wonderful memories. Click here to see the comments of women writers who have attended this retreat.
Limited to 12 women.

Location
St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center is located in the
Seabrook

Travel and Other Information
By car: Directions can be found at www.stchristopher.org/indes.php?Directions
By air, fly into Charleston SC airport. From there you can take a cab
to St. Christopher at Seabrook Island. Cost is around $50. ClarityWorks
will advise air travelers of one another so that they may arrange to
share a cab if possible. Once at the conference center you will not
need a car, so car rental is not necessary.
Other: Seabrook and Johns Island provide wonderful low trafficked and
flat roads for bicycle riding along the coast and marshes. You may
reserve a bike at kiawahislandbikerentals.com. They offer free
delivery and pick up on the dates of your choice and reasonable rental
rates if you notify them that you'll be staying at St. Christopher's. You may also, of course, bring your own bike. You may also rent
or bring a kayak or canoe. Swimming is not allowed on the St.
Christopher’s beach unless a certified lifeguard is present. Linens are
provided but you are asked to bring your own beach towels. Please take
the time to read the conference center rules on their website.
