Sunday, October 25 - Saturday October 31
Early Bird Registration Deadline: August 25
Final Payment:  September 24

Lake Logan is 40 miles west of Asheville, NC

Description

Lake Logan Writing Group 2008This 6-day retreat provides ample time to sink into your writing. Here is the answer to all those times you've said, "If I only had the time!"
We inhabit our own village of log cabins on the lake front.  Mornings, we meet in the lodge with its stone fireplace, rockers, and chestnut-plank table and use Centered Writing Practice to inspire new material and to explore writing tools and craft. In the afternoon, we write in our rooms, on the decks, or in the many nooks and crannies around the grounds.  In the evening, we read our work and receive feedback.   Click here to see the comments of women writers who have attended this retreat.

  Limited to 14 women.

Location

Thirty miles west of Asheville, Lake Logan Conference Center, Canton, NC, is nestled at the foot of Cold Mountain "in a pristine valley between Fall 07 Lake Loganthe Pisgah National Forest and the Shining Rock Wilderness" in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina, Lake Logan offers 300 acres for fall hiking. Through  October, the lake is open for canoeing and kayaking. Imagine the mountain lake reflecting the surrounding forest on a background of pure blue. If beauty inspires, we are destined to become poets! We'll meet by the stone fireplace in a living room setting or, if weather permits, on the porch overlooking the lake. Take the video tour at www.lakelogan.org.

The photo above was taken by retreat participant Demaris Wehr.

Note: ClarityWorks is not affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese or any other religious or spiritual organization.
