Women, Writing and Soul-Making: A Writing Workshop for Women
Join award-winning author, teacher Peggy Tabor Millin as she guides you through this unique writing workshop for women at the beautiful Kripalu Center. For women writers of all levels!
December 17-19, 2010
Kripalu Center - Stockbridge, MA
In the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts
Accept the gifts of the winter solstice and enter the womb of creativity through the feminine gateway of writing. To write from the feminine is to access the creative center in the belly rather than the intellectual center in the brain. Whether a beginning or experienced writer, you will leave with a reliable writing practice that will inspire and enrich your life.
Description
Your body’s yearning for respite and your soul’s desire to speak the truth will find nurturance and communion as you explore this particularly feminine approach to the writing process within a circle of women. You will learn to
Use meditation and guided visualization as supportive practices- Listen to your body’s wisdom
- Understand your approach/avoidance to writing
- Monitor and relate to your inner critic
- Discover the pattern of your own “best practice.”
Peggy's gentle support and humor create a space of safety, allowing participants to express their truth. She has developed the technique of Centered Writing Practice™ over 25 years of leading spiritual growth and women’s writing classes and retreats. The practice combines body awareness with free writing to prompts.
Please bring a blank notebook and an open heart.
