Fearless Writers' Workshop in Asheville

ClarityWorks' combines writing in community, solitude for personal writing, and questions and discussion of writing craft.

We regret that this Summer Workshop has been cancelled. But you might be interested in our 7th annual Fearless Writing Retreat at Lake Logan.  This begins on Monday, November 9 and continues through Sunday, November 15. See more by clicking here.

Description

The program, for new and accomplished writers, will include instruction and practice in Centered Writing Practice, a Women Writing in a group settingbody-centered approach to free writing, heart-mind listening, and supportive feedback.  Also included are discussion of points of craft, such as dialogue and scene, and reading-for-critique.  You will have two afternoons and five evenings to yourself.

Peggy provides a safe, structured setting for inspiration, intuition, and imagination—what she calls the "Muse Collective"—to enter the writing circle. The safety of the circle is dependent on all members complying with the workshop agreements, which you are asked to download, sign, and return with your final registration.

Agenda

Every morning the circle begins at 9:00 with the ringing of the bell and a period of silence. We then write to prompts—words,  phrases, pictures which are inspiring for both fiction and nonfiction--read what we have written, and give supportive feedback. The circle closes at noon.
