Description

Lucia writes lake 3This 6-day, 7-night retreat provides ample time to sink into your writing. Here is the answer to all those times you've said, "If I only had the time!"
We inhabit four cottages on the lake front.  Mornings, we meet in Sunburst Cottage with its stone fireplace and use Centered Writing Practice to inspire new material and to explore writing tools and craft. In the afternoon, we write in our rooms, on the decks, or in the many nooks and crannies around the grounds.  In the evening, we read our work and receive feedback.   Click here to see the comments of women writers who have attended this retreat.

Limited to Lake Logan and Seabrook Alumni.

Location

Dining Hall in pond LL 1

Thirty miles west of Asheville in Canton, NC,  Lake Logan Conference Center  is nestled at the foot of Cold Mountain in a quiet valley between the Pisgah National Forest and the Shining Rock Wilderness in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina*, Lake Logan offers 300 acres for hiking. The lake is closed for swimming and boating in November. Imagine the mountain lake reflecting the surrounding forest on a background of LL-By the Firepure blue. If beauty inspires, we are destined to become poets! We'll meet by the stone fireplace in a living room setting or, if weather permits, on the porch overlooking the lake. Take the video tour at www.lakelogan.org.

*This retreat is sponsored by Lake Logan Episcopal Center. ClarityWorks is not affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese or any other religious or spiritual organization.
