I have a truth inside me I want to express, a special truth that only I can tell. We all do. That’s why we write.  And this realization is the great gift that Peggy’s ClarityWorks programs have given me—and continue to give me.

Women Writing Creative Works

Creative writing, memoir, poetry and nonfiction writing allow women to express their true selves fearlessly.

As women, we yearn for a different approach to writing than the one we learned in school. As a writing teacher, mentor, and coach, I create classes, workshops, and writing retreats  in which each woman practices fearlessness, finding strength within her vulnerability. This feminine approach plays with creative  process and dives deep into the heart of what matters to the writer. By engaging in this creative play, we unearth our voice as writers and as women.

When she feels supported and nurtured in a fearless approach to writing, a woman can apply fearlessness to anything in her life. This happens effortlessly while we share our writing and our stories in the group.  Our stories lead us into discovery of the deepest part of ourselves and become the avenue for learning from one another. Once we have spoken our truth, we can, if we wish, shape the product—novel, short story, memoir, poem, essay—with our school-learned tools. The written form then reflects the complexity and fullness of our human experience.
